How big is the blocklist?

12,169 domains merged from the CC0-licensed disposable-email-domains project, the MIT-licensed FakeFilter list and a small hand-verified set, deduplicated and refreshed with each release.

Are alias and forwarding services blocked?

No, deliberately. Services such as 33mail are used by real people to protect their addresses, so they are excluded. The list targets temporary inboxes, not privacy tools.

Does it match subdomains?

Yes. If a blocked provider hands out mailboxes on subdomains, an address on any of them matches, and the response names the blocklist domain that matched.

Can I pass just a domain?

Yes. Send either a full email address or a bare domain, which is handy when checking a signup form before the user finishes typing.

How does this differ from the Email Validation API?

This API answers one question quickly for 1 token. The Email Validation API adds syntax checks, a live MX lookup and typo suggestions for 10 tokens, and uses the same disposable list.
