Where do the rates come from?

The European Central Bank's daily euro reference rates, the official rates most European businesses and tax authorities use. The API rebases them to any of the 30 currencies, so USD or GBP can be the base.

Are these live market rates?

No. The ECB publishes once per business day around 16:00 CET. Every response carries the rate date, and a request for a weekend or holiday returns the previous business day's rate with the requested date alongside.

How far back can I look?

Any day in the last 90 days for rate tables and conversions, and daily history series of up to 90 days with start, end, minimum, maximum and change percentage.

Which currencies are supported?

The 30 currencies in the ECB's reference set, including USD, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, CNY, INR, BRL and MXN, each with its ISO 4217 name from the currencies endpoint.

What does a call cost?

5 tokens. Rates are cached at the edge for an hour, so repeated conversions in the same hour are fast and still cost 5 tokens each.

Daily exchange rates for 30 currencies with any base currency, an amount converter with inverse rates, dated lookups for any day in the last 90 days (weekends resolve to the previous business day) and daily history series with change statistics — sourced directly from the European Central Bank's official reference rates and cached hourly. Currency codes come with ISO 4217 names. Authoritative, dated, no middleman.
