Travel Advisories API
The US State Department's official travel advisory for every destination on Earth, refreshed daily: 213 countries and regions with their current 1-4 threat level — Level 1 Exercise Normal Precautions through Level 4 Do Not Travel — plus the advisory summary where published, the official link and the last-updated date. Look up a destination by ISO code or name (FR resolves to France at Level 2; South Korea sits at Level 1), pull the full Do Not Travel list in one call (22 destinations, Afghanistan and Belarus among them), or filter any level for risk screens. Level changes are the product: the State Department edits advisories continuously, and the daily wholesale sync keeps every level at most a day old, with removed advisories pruned behind a safety valve. The compliance-and-safety layer for travel products: booking flows that flag risky destinations, corporate travel and duty-of-care tools, insurance underwriting, expat and NGO operations. Pairs with our Attractions, Airlines, Airports and Climate Normals APIs for a complete travel stack. Public-domain source data, self-hosted — no third-party calls at request time.
